Gamecube
|
i
bought my gamecube quite some time ago never thinking any shooters would
be released for it. then in 2003 IKARUGA was released and even more than
that in PAL territories! since then a number of quality shooters have come
out in japan, and hopefully these will keep on coming as the gamecube is a
lovely little machine with some nice little accessories, plus it's the
cheapest of the next gen consoles and much more powerful than the PS2. the
beauty of the gamecube is that you can by a Freeloader disc which enables
you to play any region games on a UK machine, superb.

| IKARUGA/.
identical to the dreamcast
version except that it has replay
videos for every level to unlock, and it comes in a bigger box and on a
smaller disc.mint. REVIEWED |
CASTLE OF SHIKIGAMI 2/. wierd wierd game converted from the arcade original. completely rendered in 3d it looks lovely and plays very much like Psyvariar on the PS2. brilliant if you like avoiding bullets, a bit dull if you don't. i personally think it's great. shame about the terrible music though. | STAR SOLDIER/. another hudson remake of one of it's original games, this time from the NES. i've never played the original but if it's anything like this it's brilliant. this is real back to basic shooting with few frills and plenty of killing. insanely addictive when you're trying to beat a high score too. just make sure you have some deep heat handy, you're thumb's going to need it. | ||
